Tannenbaum Scro is the continuation of Levin Tannenbaum, established in Sarasota in 1995.

Partner Alan E. Tannenbaum, is Board-Certified by the Florida Bar in the area of Construction Law. For 32 years, he has been a strong and effective advocate for homeowners, investors and other consumers, condominium and homeowner associations and builders and other commercial interests. In 2007, when massive fraud in various real estate flipping schemes involving Florida properties came to light, investors from around the country sought out Alan Tannenbaum to represent them in seeking recourse against the banks, mortgage brokers, promoters and builders involved in the schemes. To date, over 350 investors and homeowners have retained the firm to secure relief on their behalf.

Partner Salvatore G. Scro, licensed to practice law in Florida and New York, joined forces with Alan Tannenbaum three years ago after a 20-year career as a real estate and trial lawyer in Central New York, where he also ran a successful real estate brokerage firm. He co-heads Tannenbaum Scro's construction law section, oversees the firm's real estate closing practice and handles personal injury, marital and family law and corporate matters.

Associate Ivo J. Travnicek is a corporate and transactional attorney conversant in six languages. A Czech native, he is actively involved in bringing European investors to Florida to buy real estate and invest in Florida businesses. He also counsels physicians and medical practices on business and corporate issues.

Associate Shane S. Smith is a trial lawyer focusing on construction and commercial cases, including mortgage workouts and foreclosure defense. She formerly was a professional golfer touring on the women's satellite tour.

The firm is actively involved and is a proud sponsor in three chapters of the Community Association Institute.
